The Roaring Twenties

Step Back In Time In The Blue Mountains

The friends of the Norman Lindsay Gallery along with the Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum invite you to experience an exciting weekend in the Blue Mountains as part of the roaring '20s Festival!

The Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum invites you to travel back in time and explore how your grandparents and great grandparents travelled, a time when there were few cars and people relied more on rail, not roads, for transport.

Come and ride on the only operating example of a Sydney Steam Tram (built in 1890), which ran in Sydney throughout the 1920's up until 1937 when Steam Trams were suspended. Experience examples of railway locomotives and carriages dating back to the twenties inside Australia's oldest Steam Locomotive Roundhouse! View a rare collection of Model T Fords and other cars from yesteryear.
